The exhibition hall, spanning 800 square meters, is a testament to Chenghai YI's innovative approach to design. The space, inspired by the tea culture, features a log tea table and chair combination as its main attraction. The design extends from utensils to space, from pragmatism to the sublimation of life aesthetics, and from things to people, thereby meeting the diverse needs of all tea lovers.
What sets this exhibition hall apart is its focus on design aesthetics, emotional individuality, health, and cultural classicism. These themes, combined with the product attributes, comprehensively display the ten brands advocated by the space. The use of stone, log lines, and local black titanium materials further enhances the level of space, making it a unique blend of simplicity, light, and nature.
The design process involved overcoming several challenges. The original building was an industrial plant, and the owner wanted to showcase the space's atmosphere effectively while keeping costs low. To increase the display space, the island part of the design was tilted 45 degrees, and local lighting was used to increase the depth of field of space. The display space was extended outward to increase more display surfaces.
The design team, comprising Yichuan Zhou, Junhong Huang, and PengZhong, worked diligently to bring Chenghai YI's vision to life. The project, which began in June 2018 and concluded in October 2018 in Quan zhou, is a testament to their dedication and creativity.
The exhibition hall is more than just a space; it is a symbol of the evolution of tea culture and lifestyle. It is a testament to Chenghai YI's ability to blend form and function seamlessly, creating a space that is not only visually appealing but also culturally significant. The Silver A' Design Award is a testament to the design's innovation and excellence, further solidifying Chenghai YI's reputation as a leading figure in the design industry.
